A-ULM and B-ULM Ultrasonic Sensors

Hi Hill,

 

As I said, we need to do a Proof of Concept in the Congo in about 3 weeks at 5 Sites.

We are not sure which would be the best solution, so we want to prepare for both devices and would like to order 8 x A-ULM and 8xB-ULM and the correct Epoxy Resin to stick the B-ULM to the bottom of the Tank.

 

I notices that you have a special holder for the B-ULM that have magnets to hold sensor in place.

Send us 8 of those too as it might help to hold the device in place while it dries. ( see picture below)

 

When I got the A-ULM there were many issues that we ran into, so to prevent that occurring again, please make sure about the following;

 

1. The right firmware is loaded and it is in Query Mode
2. The default baud rate is: 9600,8,N,1
3. The devices are RS485.
4. The Sticker on  the Device indicates the A and B wires quite clearly.
5. The Blind Area is clearly indicated on the A-ULM.
6. The Sleeving on wires on the A-ULM goes deep into the Potting Material – on one device the wires are exposed.
7. The Cable for the A-ULM must be over 3 Meters so it can connect directly to our Controller.
8. The B-ULM cable must be of the right type that allows for a connection to one device and is also over 3 Meters (I see there is a 3.5M  cable that you have for the B-ULM Picture below).
9. All devices must have a default setting of ID#: 1
10. Please ensure the shipment arrives on time, the last shipment took long to arrive.
