Generator and MainsPower Sw1 and Sw2 of MC

Power Modes

The MC has its own Battery and when this battery is being used, I believe its Sw2 =0. So Sw2 = 1 means not running on own battery.

If the Generator Sw1 = 1, the Generator is running and that will automatically restore power to the MC and Sw2 will automatically change to 1.

Now I have since learnt that the Generator charges a bank of batteries which also keeps “the mains“present to the MC as it will keep powered up through these batteries.

Generator = 1 - will always keep power to the MC so Sw2 = 1.

Generator = 0 – Sw2 will be 1 until the Battery Bank is depleted

Then Sw2 = 0, means MC’s own battery Powers up the MC and the entire Site and Zero Power.

Now this condition could still exist if the Generator is Active, but not charging.

Conclusion

I think until we are able to monitor the Battery Bank, we report on the Generator activity and Mains or Battery mode of the MC.
