Is it worth renting a car for a work trip?

Copenfer
Hey folks, flying into Moscow soon for a couple of weeks of meetings and site visits, and I am stuck on whether to just rely on taxis or grab my own wheels. Never driven there before so a bit unsure about the whole process. Is it actually worth the hassle for a short work stay or will I just end up spending more time dealing with paperwork than driving?

Honestly for two weeks of work stuff having your own car beats chasing taxis every day, especially if you have to hop between offices or industrial parks on the outskirts. The metro is great for the centre but once you need to be somewhere specific at a fixed time it gets old fast. You need your passport, a valid licence, and a card for the deposit. To check what is available for a car when you need a rental in Moscow just browse the listings on https://getrentacar.com/en-US/russia/moscow .

Check if your hotel has parking included before you book the car, some central places charge a fortune for overnight spaces or have zero spots at all. Street parking can be a real headache, and the fines add up quick if you ignore the rules.
